Don't bother using MAX online tool

Have been planning on replacing the entry door at home. So in looking around, I found an article in Yahoo done by the Bob Vila about doors. In that, there was a link (twice actually) to a tool called MAX that supposedly walks you through choosing a door (http://homedepotmax.masonite.com/). I thought "hey, great, let me use that".

So I followed the link and started clicking away on options. I quickly noticed that there really were very few options compared to all the doors I have ever seen and certainly compared to what I had roughly envisioned for my front door. This one HAD to have a glass panel in the door... I don't want that. But I figured I would just let that ride and use the rest of the application to see what else it can show me. For my entry, I had also selected a side panel. The options for window details in the side panel did not match up at all with the window they had forced for the main door so that was silly. Finally made it to the select-a-color page. Did that and then clicked for the next step. Got an error saying I had to make all required selections. But color was the only selection on that page and I had done that. Played around with it, going back to other selection pages to make sure everything had been done. However, I just could not get beyond the error message. So, not only was it creating a door not fully to my liking... it never fully created the door they were forcing on me.

Bottom line, it is a waste of time to try to use this tool. Find something else to help you make your decision. It is a fairly important one if you want to make a nice impression about your home.
