Today, I got in line at the grocery checkout. Only two people were in front of me; the one being waited on and a gal with four items who was glued to her phone. Two of the items she was buying were the gossip magazines that are at the checkout stands. She was recounting to her caller the headlines from each magazine with a "did you know THAT"? followup to each article.
People seem so shocked and surprised that Donald Trump is talking with Kim Jong Un. Well, why not? There is much more to gain with Trump than with any previous USA president. Bush referred to North Korea as part of the "axis of evil". Obama just wanted to talk about limiting the nuclear war heads or else more sanctions. Kimmie's handlers knew not to meet with those presidents as they would hold up a certain level of morals to which they would want Kimmie to meet and then maintain.
Have been planning on replacing the entry door at home. So in looking around, I found an article in Yahoo done by the Bob Vila about doors. Recently, I tried to find a place where I could donate good-condition, clean, used clothing for toddlers and women. I did not want these items to be sold but given to people in need.
Over history, man has frequently given control of individuals lives to some power. Kings, rajas, dictators, pundits, governments..... they all have or had some control over the individual and how that life will be lived. Now we seem to have corporations that control our lives. And on the global scale.
I grew up on a farm and so often, people would come out "to the country" and dump unwanted pets. We would find these confuse, scared, hungry animals wandering along the road or in the fields. It was very heart-breaking as we could not take them all in.
